Job description :
Vecmocon is seeking a creative and curious Industrial Design Intern for an on-site 4 months internship. During this internship, you will be assigned one major design project and a few minor projects that contribute directly to our active product development initiatives.
You’ll get the opportunity to take the major project from research and ideation through to prototyping and design validation, working alongside engineers and designers who are passionate about building future-ready EV solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand project requirements and assist in shaping design goals and constraints
- Conduct user and market research, benchmark existing solutions
- Develop concept sketches, form explorations, and 3D models
- Work on aesthetic detailing, ergonomics, material selection, and CMF strategy
- Collaborate with internal engineering and product teams for DFM feedback
- Create prototypes using in-house tools (3D printing, foam modeling, etc.)
- Document and present your ideas and process with great visual storytelling
Key Skills:
- Final-year student or recent graduate in Industrial/Product Design
- Strong foundation in sketching, form ideation, and 3D modeling
- Proficient with Blender 3D, Solidworks, etc., and hands-on experience with the latest AI visualization tools like Vizcom
- Excellent visual communication and a keen eye for detail
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of a project
- A portfolio that reflects strong design thinking and aesthetic sense.
- Quick to learn new tools, systems, and processes.
- Effective communication and time-management skills.
